Me and 21 Hit Butler Main on Saturday in hopes of a lunch at Bear Creek, but we got stopped by some SICK snow about 10kms up. Two feet deep on the road and it didn't appear to only be a patch... We ran in to a couple trappers who confirmed what 21 had heard - ATV'ers were able to ride over the gates on the snow further on up the road!

We looped back to Bone Yard in hopes of avoiding the snow and ended up chilling in the sun along the Sooke River.

It had no snow.

We came across a wigwam on the Sooke River too.


We also came across a nice pile of garbage. 
I wonder why they hate us riding and chilling up here?

All in all a really good day out on the bikes! We need to find a solution for the gate there because it's some sweet sunny day riding. There are a couple beautiful lakes and some crazy hidden potholes... nothing else like it on the lower island. We did get a stern finger shaking from some old dude in a truck - nod and ride on. It's fine draggin the TY under the gate, but I totally won't do that to the battle cat! :)

Had a great time up near Boyd's pit the Wednesday afternoon. We got in near the bridge just past Anderson Lake road. They dug it all out trying to keep us out but someone already made another path! Ripped around in Boyd's for a bit and then headed up the road. Came to a 3 ways split in the road, took the right hand road and right at the end we found a damn which we named Epic Falls. Have a look at the pic. Sweet place to take a nap and blast one back!

This old Honda bike has got history - the GREATEST bike in the world for reliably breaking down 10-15 km out on a ride ensuring a good workout walking back (or towed - thx Ryan)
This bike was on the first half of the first two LOOM rides. HAHAHA

Well, we had a pretty sweet ride at Shaunigan (Cobble Hill or whatever) last Sunday. Here's a bit of random documentation.

Igot this new (to me) '91 Yahama RT 180 - needed new sprockets - $40, no problem. the listed aftermarket parts were both smaller giving the bike quite an attack  if your not paying attention. pretty happy with the purchase. Many happy LOOM daze riding to come.|
